Meet Dr Stephen Cotter

Dr Stephen Cotter qualified from University College Cork in 1998, graduating top of his year with a First Class Honours degree. He was the recipient of numerous undergraduate awards including the O'Neil Medal and the A-Company Prize in Orthodontics.

Following several years in general dental practice and hospital dentistry, he was accepted onto the prestigious Leeds University Higher Training Programme in Orthodontics. Dr Cotter completed his specialist training in 2007, winning the J.K. Williams Gold Medal for overall first place at the Royal College Examinations. He was also awarded a Distinction by the University of Leeds for his Masters Research into the materials used in orthodontics.

Dr Stephen has transformed the smiles of thousands of patients over the last couple of decades, and he's just as at home outside the clinic as in it. He's a proud supporter of local clubs and societies around Killarney, and believes that getting involved in the community is all part of the job. Whatever your age - from a child's first check-up to a parent finally getting their own smile sorted - he's genuinely delighted to help.
